The Boyfriend and I are headed to his family vacation in Rehoboth Beach next week and I am so excited. I know what y’all are thinking, I have been traveling every weekend for forever and when am I just staying home for a weekend. Answer: in a while. Until then, I have some very pressing things to take care of in Rehoboth. So far, my agenda includes beach sitting, pool sitting, reading (though definitely not while sitting, probably jogging, #active), caddying for the Boyfriend while he plays a round of golf, cocktail hour, and morning porch coffee.
So I am probably taking a lil’ blog break for the next week. I’ll catch you guys when I’m back in New York. Until then, take these treats to remember me by:
In the same way that I’ve been really into fruits in salads lately, I’ve been into savory flavors in desserts. This cherry goat cheese ice cream looks phenomenal, and like it will be just the right amount of sweet. Not that I’m turning my nose up at normal ice cream — something like this lemon gelato (tangy and creamy) or this mango frozen yogurt (sweet and actually a little healthy?).
A few years ago, I had a phenomenal brunch at a lebanese spot in Brooklyn and I’ve been in love with labneh ever since. It’s halfway between hummus and cream cheese, which is to say, it’s basically my perfect food.
When we get home, these chicken tzatziki lettuce wraps will be top of my list. They look fresh and crunchy, with a tangy cucumber yogurt topping and a few slices of creamy avocado. But let’s be honest, once I decide to have chicken for dinner, I will probably settle on something much less healthy like this korean bbq chicken. Or I’ll just pull a leighto and blow off whatever else I’m planning to make and just make pork tacos instead.
Adios, guys! Have a great week and I’ll catch ya on the flip side!
